Car Wash is canceled!

DUE to the 90% chance of rain tomorrow, the car wash is canceled.

If you are still interested in helping paint the lockers, I will be at school by 2 p.m.

Bus Ride

1st Home Scrimmage Info

All Cheerleaders arrive by 3:30 p.m.

Varsity:  Wear black tank w/ white jersey & black/white camp shorts. If you bring black soffe shorts bring black spanks!  Hair pulled back in a tight pony. NO HAIR in face! White BOW!

JV:  Wear black tank w/ green tank & black soffe shorts. One thing...under your black soffe shorts wear black spanks!  Hair pulled back in a tight pony. NO HAIR in face! White BOW!

If anyone wants to earn a point on Friday come to the school by noon and help work on signs.  

Everyone will also have another opportunity on Saturday & Sunday to earn points by helping Jessica at her cheer clinic!

Scrimmage Info.

If anyone would like to join us at the school tonight at 6, we are going to make goodie bags for the football team!  You may donate items or just your time!  We'd like to have all the support possible!  :)

If any cheerleader is interested in earning another point toward an infraction removal then you have an opportunity to do so by attending the scrimmage Saturday morning @ 8 a.m.  

Please read the previous posts below regarding attire!  :)

Saturday Fundrasiers

We have 2 fundraisers on Saturday!  :)

PLEASE come out and support your EHS Cheerleaders @ The Sweet Factory (2201 W. Stan Schlueter Loop) from 11-5 on Saturday, August 11th. 

If you signed up for the little league cheer clinic, you need to wear your white skort outfit!  

If you signed up for the Sweet Factory, you need to wear your pink shirt with your white skort and pink polka dot bow. 

Don't forget:  Regardless of which location you are serving, you are able to earn infraction removals if you get 5 people to go to The Sweet Factory, make a purchase, and turn in a brochure with you name on it!  GOOD LUCK LADIES!

NEED to KNOW for MONDAY

Varsity & JV:  Please take a look at the UCA 2012 Band Dance Party on Youtube.  Learn the routine and be prepared to work on it Monday during practice! 

If you came  home from camp with extra clothes, bows, or uniforms please bring them to practice on Monday.

Don't forget to look at the calendar to see what to wear for practice!  

Varsity:  Everyone is required to bring their 8in. green poms to practice!  This is a part of required attire.

UCA CAMP RESULTS

The EHS Junior Varsity Squad brought home the following:

·      Most improved trophy,

·      4 superior ribbons,

·      and 1 excellence ribbon.

The EHS Varsity Squad brought home the following:

·      1^st place trophy for our cheer routine,

·      2^nd place trophy for our dance routine,

·      5 superior ribbons,

·      the leadership award (tied with another school),

·      and a “hard working” trophy for consistently working diligently throughout the week.

It is also with great pleasure to announce that three of our students competed in and made the All-American team to perform in London and New York.  They are Ruby Marquez, Andrea Collier, and Onysha Paxton. 

Also, I’d like to mention that senior, Onysha Paxton, was recognized as an outstanding cheerleader with qualities that UCA (Universal Cheerleaders Association) is looking for.  In fact, they have asked her to return to be an instructor for UCA after graduation.  

Please take time to congratulate our EHS Cheerleaders!

Final Camp Performance!

If you are coming to see our EHS Cheerleaders ROCK the camp then you need to know the following information.  

The final performance ceremony will begin @ 9 a.m. Thursday morning (tomorrow)!  Please enter through the Convention Center.

Well, we've managed to wake all 27 girls and have them ALL ready by 6:45 a.m.  :D

The Night Before Camp

'Twas the night before camp and all through the house the cheerleaders were stirring getting ready for UCA camp.  Trying to remember what to pack and double-checking their list twice.  Camp clothes are organized, uniforms are ready, and poms are packed!  Don't forget to bring your binder and remember to pull your hair back (pony tail).

CAMP TIME

Are you ready to have some FUN!

Please arrive @ school (student entrance) by 4:30 a.m.  Don't forget you are allowed to use one luggage (EHS Cheer duffel bag) and one carry on. 

Everyone has a camp clothing list, but don't forget to bring your one green pom and one white pom!  :)

Make sure you bring your BINDER!  :)

Camp Meeting!

There will be a MANDATORY CAMP MEETING on Monday, July 23 @ 6:30 pm in the EHS cafeteria to discuss camp and fill out required paperwork!  

Open Gym & Practice Times

A BIG thanks to the girls who came to open gym last night!  :D  I hope to see you all tonight as we will work on the cheers/chants that you are required to learn for next week.  

By the way, the open gym for FRIDAY is CANCELED!  

Practice next week will be Monday-Friday 12:30-5:00.   Monday's attire is "tryout" clothes.

Don't forget to bring your binder to practice tomorrow so you can decorate it!

Great 1st practice girls!  :)

Remember to have a 3-ringed binder by Monday, June 11th!  Decorate it to show your school spirit!  

Also, we need to TRY out BEST to turn in the candy money to the "Lady Under the Stairs" by the end of this week!

Summer Practice

Are you READY for some FUN?  

Summer practice begins Tuesday from 8 am until 12pm.  Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders will meet Coach Patterson in the commons!  Please have your hair pulled back, do not wear jewelery, and wear your tryout attire (black shorts and white shirts).

REMINDER:  CHEER FEES are due TODAY!  Please pay Ms. Parker, "The Lady Under the Stairs!"  :)

Also, please wear black shorts and an Ellison t-shirt to the car wash tomorrow!  Don't forget to bring a sponge and the supplies you signed up to bring! 

Last, but not least: I'd like to hear from each team leader TODAY as to how your team is doing regarding the fundraiser!

Fundraiser Time

We will have a short (30-45 min.) meeting on Monday, May 14th @ 4:30 in the EHS cafeteria regarding our first fundraiser activity!  Camp is around the corner, so we need every cheerleader to participate!

Mandatory Fitting

REMINDER: There is a MANDATORY fitting scheduled for Varsity and Junior Varsity cheer squads on Friday, May 11th @ 7pm.  We will meet in the cafeteria briefly before the fitting.  See you then!  :)

It's time to meet your new cheerleading coach, Coach Patterson.  The 2012-2013 cheer squad and parent meeting will be held in the Ellison cafeteria Monday, April 30th at 6 p.m.
